The Centre
A purpose-built 75-place service located in Forbes, roughly 3-hour drive from Sydney or Canberra is seeking experienced educators to join and work alongside their supportive team on a full-time basis.
There are currently 2 roles available:
- Diploma/ECT Educational Leader
- Certificate III/Diploma Educators
The Role
As an Educational Leader, your main responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with educators and provide curriculum direction and guidance
- Support educators to effectively implement the cycle of planning to enhance programs and practices
- Lead the development and implementation of an effective educational program in the service
- Support educators to implement programs
- Follow the EYLF and share the excitement of child-led discovery
- Recognise and develop the strengths in children
- Able to build a strong rapport with families and educators
As an Educator, your main responsibilities will include:
- Assist and work alongside the Room Leader and other educators in the room to implement programming leading to successful learning outcomes for the children
- Communicate positively with the children and families
- Be reliable, respectful and work constructively with your colleagues and other professionals
- Provide high-quality care and education for children up to the age of 5 years
- Implement education and care programs that meet the holistic needs of the individual child as part of a community
- Be enthusiastic and reliable with demonstrated experience in providing high-quality education and care for children, including those with additional needs.
- Good communicator, and be a keen, enthusiastic team player
About You
To be successful in these positions, you must have:
- A Diploma or Bachelors of Early Childhood Education or Graduate Diploma with previous experience as Cert III/Diploma leader or ACECQA-approved qualification
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an educator. For the Ed Leader role, minimum 2 years of experience as Room Leader
- Current Working with Children’s Check
- Recent Child Protection Training/Safeguarding
- Current First-Aid Certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training)
- Passionate belief in the early years care, development and education of children
- Strong ethics and genuine approach towards child safety and WHS
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Adaptability, flexibility and resilience and is able to respond positively to change
- Australian unrestricted working rights
